UAS with 4K 2D & 3D video & photo capture. Underwater ROV may capture video and SONAR imagery.

What bridge features are observed?

The abutment back wall, bearing seats, bearing pads for movement, bottom of deck and beams for cracks. using UAS. As for underwater ROV-underwater mini-sub with camera and SONAR if required. To observe submerged piers, wall and foundations as well as the bedding.

Are diver's required?

No, however a diver is on call.

Utility Engineer asked:

Why inspect drainage pipes and concrete box culverts? 

Safety, humans in confined space are avoided, are pipe crawler though expensive is always better than risking someone life to only find a basketball plugging a pipe.

What are the basic powerline and pole equipment listed the inventory you provide? 

Several utility providers have proprietary software programs used to inventory and report repairs and maintenance. If no program is provided, Marshall prefers to use an in-house system of recording the pole numbers between each pole along the powerline route. As well as mapping for us in GIS, GOOGLE and other platforms.

How many miles is Marshalls Insp Svc complete per day? 

That varies, with site conditions, wooded areas, rough terrain, waterway crossings, FAA regulations. But a short answer is as little as 3 miles as much as 10 mile even on a complicated day.​
